Canada is currently struggling to meet the needs of its aging population. The pandemic has been a profound shock to the healthcare system - the result has been a terrible impact on the particularly vulnerable population living in long-term care (LTC) homes.

Dr. Wong is a Clinical Professor in the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the University of British Columbia and he is the 13th President of the Canadian Geriatrics Society. Dr. Wong has received the Order of Canada for his contributions to the field of geriatrics and the health and well-being of Canadians.
