Over the past year, we have awaited news of a COVID-19 vaccine and now that vaccines are becoming available, you may have questions about them. Dr. Anthony Levinson is joined by Dr. Zain Chagla, a specialist in internal medicine, tropical medicine, and infectious diseases to discuss COVID-19 vaccines.
Dr. Zain Chagla
Assistant Professor, Division of Infectious Diseases Faculty of Health Sciences, McMaster UniversityZain Chagla is a Tutor in the Master of Science in Global Health program at McMaster University. An M.D. specializing in internal medicine, tropical medicine, and infectious diseases, he is Consultant Physician at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Hamilton Health Sciences, Assistant Professor of Medicine at McMaster University, and adjunct faculty at the University of Namibia in the Department of Medicine.
He also received his M.Sc from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and a Diploma in Tropical Medicine completed in Tanzania and Uganda through the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Research and clinical interests include antimicrobial stewardship, web/mobile technology and medical education, diagnostic ultrasound in resource-poor settings, travel and tropical medicine, and transplant derived infections.
